Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her for her hometown. Michel Horowitz is her father and Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder's father came from an ethnically Jewish family Ryder considers herself Jewish. Uria Ryder is her younger brother. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are Ryder's half-siblings. Ryder's parents relocated her and her siblings in Mendocino County California when Ryder turned seven. There was no electricity. Ryder who read a lot aged 12 years old, became a reader due to the fact that Ryder was not able to access television. Ryder began taking acting classes when Ryder was 12years old at the American Conservatory Theatre. In 1986 she was offered her first big-screen role in the film Lucas she was only 15 years old. Ryder was bullied at high school. Her hope was that acting would bring about a change. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. However, she pushed on with her dream. Beetlejuice, a 1988 Tim Burton film, was her first major break. Ryder had a successful role in several films. She was nominated for two Academy Awards one for her part on The Age of Innocence (1993).
