Jeanie Marie Buss is an American businesswoman from the United States. she is the current president and controlling owner of Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Buss was born in California and grew up as part of a rich family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was an estate tycoon, and later the manager of Lakers, among other businesses. Her parents divorced in 1972. separated together and she felt abandoned. In 1972, at age 19, she began working for the family's business. Then she founded the Los Angeles Blades pro roller hockey team. She served as the president of the Great Western Forum, before becoming the Vice President of the Lakers. Buss her father passed away in 2013 which is when the Lakers were acquired by Buss and her five siblings by way of a trust. Each sibling had the same number of votes. She assumed the office as president for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also co-founder of Women of Wrestling a pro-wrestling promotion headquartered in Los Angeles.
